I'm evaluating the DA7212 (ARD-AUDIO-DA7212) for a PoC and I've come across some issues regarding power consumption.
The codec is hooked to a nRF5340 and receives a 12.288 Mhz clock via it's MCLK pin (from the MCU). The LDO on the board has been removed the board is supplied with 1.8V directly. There is no headphone output, I'm only interested in capturing audio.
At 16khz I get a power consumption ~ 2300 uA and at 8khz ~ 2100 uA. I'm sure there's something I'm missing.
Is there any script for evaluating the power consumption in record-only mode?
