HelloI have a question about the ISL79987.I am actually designing a circuit, but is it correct to connect VSSM, which is the GND of VDDM, to the analog ground? My understanding is that MIPI is a digital signal, so I thought it should be connected to the digital ground, so this is my question.
Hi,
You need to connect it VSSM to MIPI see below pin discerption.
Thanks
AB
HelloThanks for your replyMy question was poor.I'm referring to the schematic of the demo board, and the ground of VDDM is connected to the analog ground. Is this the right choice?
Dear AB
Thank you for your reply.I have posted further questions in the thread below, but I have an additional question.I think that if I had to choose whether both VDDM and VDDM were digital ground or analog ground, they would be digital ground, but am I misunderstanding this?I'm currently having trouble with a circuit design pattern.
Thanks.
Although the MIPI output signal is digital, it’s processing involves analog logic blocks so it’s considered “analog”.
But all the grounds should be connected together.
Thank you very much for your answers.
I understand that MIPI output signals are considered analog because analog blocks are involved.
I also understand that all grounds should be connected.
But I just can't understand it.
In the diagram below, should VDDP and VDDM be classified as AGND?
This is an excerpt from the hardware manual.
Considering the pin layout, I would assume it is designed to be connected to DGND.
