I believe that there is an error in the GreenPAK Serial Debugger user manual. The small connector is P2 and not P1.

Indeed, there is some confusion there... The BM04B-SRSS-TB(LF)(SN) connector is an SH series with 1.0 mm pitch, rather than 0.1"/2.54mm (as documented at https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/2082363.pdf).
The confusion runs deeper on the new "R2.0" version of the board, where the small SH connector is labelled "J3", and the big 0.1"/2.54mm KK Molex connector becomes "J2".
The attached R2.0 picture shows a SLG4DVKGSD purchased on August 25th from Farnell.Update: the Revision 2.1 of the documentation, directly from Renesas, uses correctly the new J2/J3 names, but the text is still wrong.https://www.renesas.com/us/en/document/mat/um-gp-004-greenpak-serial-debugger-user-manual
Hi Zapta
Its not comparison between P1 & P2 . For physical size comparison for P1 you need to compare with other receptacle connector.
Also check latest document form Renesas website .

Thanks for the answer.
In this case, P2 is even smaller than other connectors. Shouldn't it also be mentioned?
Overall, it's confusing that the larger connector is singled out for being small.
Thanks.
Hi,
They have provided the reason to chose that connector (P2) , nothing more .
