Hello ,
I would like to know what is the absolute minimum operating pressure for these 2 sensors?
My plan is to measure the concentration of gases under vacuum (~300 mBarA). Will these sensors withstand it?
Many thanks
Jeff
Hello Jeff,
Thanks for your request.
Please let me inform you that all of our ZMOD sensors are qualified according to JEDEC JESD47. Part of the qualification is an HTOL test, which was executed at 125 DegC for 1000 hours and all devices passed that test. The results in an operation temperature of 65 DegC continuously over 10 years lifetime (5 years for ZMOD4510) as described in their datasheets.
The lifetime will be reduced if operated at high temperature and the performance specified will be reduced above 65 DegC.
Now regarding the recommended conditions about pressure, I need to check internally and get back to you.
Best Regards,
IK
Thanks IK, I'll wait for your feedback
Hi Jeff,
Please let me provide you the feedback I received after checking your issue internally:
We have consulted with our R&D team regarding the air pressure range for the ZMOD sensor. Unfortunately, we do not have specific data for this parameter as our tests have always been conducted under ambient pressure conditions. However, we believe the sensor should function within an extended pressure range. It is important to note that performance may degrade at low pressures, and no gas sensor can operate in a vacuum. We anticipate that performance issues could arise before reaching vacuum conditions.
Hope it helps.
Ok, thanks for your feedback and help.
