Hello, I'm looking "Mass Calibration SW User Guide of ZSSC3240 (Rev. 1.0)"
In this document, SW support for OWI-communication will be implemented in a future Evaluation SW revision.
Does MCB support OWI mode currently?
Thank you in advance.
Hello Jonny ,
Thanks for reaching out Renesas Engineering Community.
Please let me check this internally and I will get back to you as soon as I have feedback.
Best Regards,
IK
Hi Jonny ,
After checking your question internally , please let me inform you that the SW now also supports OWI communication. If you are evaluating 3240 than you should maybe also consider 3241, which has improvements and more configuration options comparing with 3240. Please check the attached list.
Also please check the Mass Calibration SW Guide for 3241, which is actually the same with 3240.
Also please check the private message that I have sent to you.

Q1) Can I get circuit of ZSSC32XX-CLOWI-PCB?
Q2) Renesas recommends ZSSC3241 instead of ZSSC3240. I saw a comparison document. Is ZSSC3240 much more unstable part? Currently, It's too difficult to change to ZSSC3241. Is it possible to continue using ZSSC3240? Will there be any performance issues?
Thanks Jonny ,
Let me check and get back to you.
After checking your issue internally:
Q1.
Please find it attached.
Q2.
The ZSSC3240 is not unstable, it has just the differences stated in the provided list. It is up to you to decide, technically this is uncomplicated, since both products have exactly the same pin out.
Of course it is possible to further use the ZSSC3240, it is a fully supported product. There are no performance issues.

Q1) I'm using voltage mode. I saw only current Mode (Diode/PTC) dropbox in S/W. How can I use it voltage mode?
Q2) Pressure sensor can take 5V. But Vbr is 1.75V. Can I use vdd (5.0V) as input source of pressure sensor like ZSC31050?
Q3) After pressure calibration using zssc3240, I wonder if it is possible to receive the corrected pressure value through i2c communication instead of analog output and use it. (ex. using as i2c adc)
Q4) Normally, pressure sensors use 5V as a bridge voltage, (ex: ZSC31050) but why does it use 1.75V as a bridge voltage? (ZSSC3240)
Thank you.
Thanks! Please let me inform you that I am checking this and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Please check the answer below:
Q1.About this, you should refer to application T3.2 which includes both (current and voltage supply):
It is a little bit tricky, voltage supply configuration is the following:
Q2.No, 5V supply is not possible with 3240. The bridge voltage of 1.75V is the regulated bridge supply which guarantees the ratiometric measurement.
Q3.Yes of course, it just necessary to switch to corrected measurements in the GUI:
Q4.The 3240 is a completely different design using another technology designed by another design team.
