Recommended IDE for developing applications for RH850

Hi, Among e2 studio and CS+, which IDE is recommended for development of applications ? and why ?

That depends on your personal preference. CS+ is a Renesas proprietary IDE and e 2studio is a Renesas Eclipse based IDE. The Renesas CC-RH compiler is supported by both IDEs.

As Fragero mentions this is a matter of preference. Personally, I find CS+ easier to use, but someone who comes from a background of using Eclipse may find e2stuidio easier to use. 
 CS+ is limited to using the CC-RH compiler and can also be used for debugging a GHS compiler built ELF application, while e2studio supports multiple compilers for RH850. GHS compiler is most popular for functional safety and AUTOSAR applications, as it is the only compiler that supports the MCAL (although there are patches for CC-RH support for some RH850 devices). 
 The GHS MULTI debugger is the most powerful debugger in terms of features supported. CS+ and e2stuidio can do all of the most basic debug operations, but to handle the RH850 trace the GHS debugger is required.
