Hi,
I am working touch on RA2E1. When I start tuning to target board, IDE show the error as figure below:
Please help me. Thanks.Do you have any example touch on RA2E1-EK board ?
Regards,
Hi David,
Are you using the EK RA2E1?
Here are some official sample codes for touch function: Family Capacitive Touch Software Filter Sample Program | Renesas

Hello David,
Continuing from NP_Renesas response,
RA2E1 CTSU2 peripheral is similar with RA2L1 CTSU2 peripheral.
So, a good document could be the below:
https://www.renesas.com/us/en/document/apn/using-qe-and-fsp-develop-capacitive-touch-applications
Also, there are very helpful videos for RSSK-RA2L1 capacitive touch configuration that you can check, take a look below:
https://www.renesas.com/us/en/video/qe-capacitive-touch-tutorial-step-1-configuration-ra
https://www.renesas.com/us/en/video/qe-capacitive-touch-tutorial-step-2-tuning-ra
https://www.renesas.com/us/en/video/qe-capacitive-touch-tutorial-step-3-monitoring-ra
Also, EK-RA2E1 doesn't include any touch button, slider, etc. What touch sensor do you try to connect with RA2E1 and what are your connections?
AL_Renesas
Yes, I am using EK-RA2E1. I use self-capacitance button/wheel/slider electrode board. Can I connect EK-R2A1 to that board. I watched all videos about qe-capacitive touch tutorial. So, I've had error when I start tuning.
Are you trying to use the EK-RA2E1 with the board below?
If yes, have you checked the connections between EK-RA2E1 and the board?
If yes, could you please send to us your connections for further investigation?
Also, please find attached the schematic for electrode board:

Hello,
yes, I use that board for touch. I connect board like this:
I can see that you try to use the buttons from the button/wheel/slider electrode board. In general, the hardware configuration is correct, but there are some extra steps that may should be done.
First of all, try to use 560ohm resistance on the connections between TSx - TS_Bx connections, αccording to
RSKK-RA2L1 schematic:
Also, please use a 0.01uF capacitor on TSCAP pin:
Also, according to EK-RA2A1 schematic P110 is used with a pull up resistor to Vcc, that could affect the system, take a look below :
You can try to use a different pin for button TS_B1.
Also, can you explain what steps have you already done and on which step do you observe the error during tuning process, according to videos/documents?
Also, if it is possible, please send to us your FSP project to check the configuration settings.
I config like figure below:
I changed TS_B touch pin to TS30, TS31, TS32. When I start tuning, the TSCAP voltage was error.
Please recommend pin to config that board.
The TSCAP pin need to connect to the ground via a capacitor, please make sure you got the right connection between boards.
Hi NP_Renesas,
I have modified the EK-RA2E1 by connected ground via 10nF capacitor. When I started tunning, TSCap was error voltage. It is 0v on TSCAP pin.
Your last screenshot is from button/wheel/slider electrode board or from EK-RA2E1 board and what wire connection do you show on it?
Also, how do you connect the capacitor on your EK-RA2E1? Did you connect it between TSCAP pin and VSS of EK-RA2E1?
If your TSCAP is 0V, you can't continue with the tuning process.
