I tried to boot from micro SD card on a RZ/G2H board, but I got the following error.

I hate necro-posting but we've just gone thru the same issue and we found out that:
bootargs=root=/dev/mmcblk1p2 rootwait
misses the "rw" and this causes the error, at least at the first mount the "rw" attribute should be there.
