Hello everyone! May I ask if UPD70F3630 belongs to V850ES/FG3? Why can't I find the hardware manual? Is it compatible with the UPD70F3377 model
If I remember correctly, the answers would be YES (assuming the '3630 was the 100pin version) and YES to your first and last questions, with the HW manual being unchanged as far as the device specification. You can use the same programmers (e.g. RFP v2 & PG-FP5/PF6) for this device.
If your company is a Renesas customer you can request the device cross-reference sheet via a support ticket.
Thank you for doing so. I was unable to communicate with the RFP through UART and switched to 8M clock. I request your guidance
Do you have control of the FLMD pins to get the device into serial programming mode?
From the Fx3 hardware U/M:
UART connection is a bit finicky about the frequency setting, it must match what is on the hardware and the multiply rate has to correspond to the max frequency (48MHz for FG3).
Thank you for your guidance. The issue has been resolved. Adjust the VDD power supply to 5V and it will work properly! Also, I would like to ask you how to determine the corresponding model with the RFP support list to use the RFP serial port for reading and writing when I see models such as UPD70F3630 belonging to V850ES/FX3-N from a third-party programmer and the official hardware manual cannot be found. Thank you!
Using RFP, select the FG3 device, and it should work. I believe the Chip-ID did not change, so you should be able to get one of the FG3 selections to work with this device.
Okay, I understand. Thank you very much!
