Hello friends. Please help a newbie)) I want to find a manual on connecting to rh850 microcontrollers, where can I find them, maybe in c+ or e2 studio?
Hello,
I dont think there is a special document for this, you just need to select the emulator you have on the debug configuration settings. Which IDE are you using CS+ or e2studio ?
I use Cs+. and how do I connect to the chip?)) I want to understand how it works)
Assuming that your device is RH850/F1H (R7F701522), if by connect you mean the hardware interface, you can refer to the document E1/E20 Emulator, E2 Emulator Additional Document for User's Manual (Notes on Connection of RH850/F1H and RH850/F1M) :
www.renesas.com/en/search?keywords=r20ut3116
Section 2 Connection Exampls:
thank you for your help. I read this document, but I didn't fully understand which one to choose there). Do you have a diagram of the microcontroller itself, where and which pins are indicated?))
You can find this information in the hardware manual of the device.
Do you have custom hardware or a Renesas reference board (e.g. starter-kit or piggy-board)?
Unfortunately, no. I have e2 lite and e1 tools. I am still new to this business and learning where and how to connect and what to do)
Please keep it in english.
As explained if your question is how to connect the device with the E1 or E2 emulator, you need to follow the connection diagram as shown in the documentation. For example if you have a RH850/F1KM or F1KH device please refer to chapter 2.4 on this document:
www.renesas.com/.../e1e20-emulator-e2-emulator-additional-document-users-manual-notes-connection-rh850f1kh-and-rh850f1km
sorry. I thought I translated into English. Thanks to all of you who answered and helped me, I will try to connect according to the diagram and check
The E2-Lite does not support the RH850 family of devices. E1/E2 do support RH850.
I was asking if you had a Renesas target board to use. If so, this would include the 14pin debug connector that is standard for the RH850.
