To have hp-plugin RZ/G2L bsp

Hi,

We already have filesystem for RZ/G2L and HPLIP is installed in the filesystem. However some HP printers don't work as it needs hp-plugin to work. So how can i get hp-plugin? hp-plugin is there in HP website. But it is not in arm architecture. How to convert hp-plugin to arm achitecture? Or how to print without using hp-plugin?

  • Hi Eldhose Peter,

If you have properly installed hplip and all missing dependencies, you should be able to download and install the hp-plugin for aarch64 via the network using hp-plugin (e.g., "hp-plugin -i", or a distro-specific wrapper, such as hp-plugin-debian)  as described on the HP website.

    hp-plugin(1)                   User Manuals                 hp-plugin(1)

    NAME
hp-plugin - Plugin Download and Install Utility

    DESCRIPTION
HP Proprietary Plugin Download and Install Utility

    (The rest is omitted)

Of course, this is only if the printer is supported (by aarch64 architecture).

    Maybe hp-setup will work too.
