Hello, I want to use ZMOD4410 for my project, but I am confused with the programming method of the sensor. The datasheet did not mention any specific register for gas measurements. Is it possible to program ZMOD4410 without using RENESAS API or Library? I am using NXP kinetics MCU with NXP MCUxpresso IDE.
If I can work without using RENESAS API or Library, How can I do it? please provide me specific register for each measurement.
Or if I need to use RENESAS API or Library how I will get it. I am requesting sufficient resources to use the ZMOD4410 gas sensor.
THANK YOU.
With Regards
Raduan
Hi Raduan,
Documentation for ZMOD4410 can be found on this page: https://www.renesas.com/us/en/products/sensor-products/environmental-sensors/digital-gas-sensors/zmod4410-firmware-configurable-indoor-air-quality-iaq-sensor-embedded-artificial-intelligence-ai
There's an application note and a sample code but they area for Renesas MCUs:
https://www.renesas.com/document/apn/zmod4xxx-sample-application?language=en&r=454426
https://www.renesas.com/us/en/document/scd/zmod4xxx-sample-application-sample-code?language=en&r=454426
There's a programming manual too for non Renesas MCUs but NXP Kinetics MCU is not included:

Hello Thank you for your reply, but I need to work on NXP Kinetics MCU (MKL27Z128LH4) with NXP MUCxpresso IDE.
As it is not included so it means I can not work with this sensor.
ZMOD4410 is not possible to work with NXP Kinetics MCU (MKL27Z128LH4) with NXP MUCxpresso IDE???
I can't really say if it won't work for your target device as I haven't tried it yet and I don't have both devices. I would suggest that you submit a ticket to Renesas Technical Support about your question: https://en-support.renesas.com/dashboard
please note that we will only support our firmware on REN MCU as it has been specifically designed to work on a target MCU and tried/tested to work out of the box with our software tools (FSP). We can only support 3rd party MCU for specific customer opportunities. Thanks JE_REN
