I am having issue with the IPS2200 board. I have my circuit board made and trying to test the encoder with no success. I know I have to spec CT1 and CT2 capacitors using the formula provided. The formula needs to have a value for L but I am not sure how to get the value?
I used the ICD tool from Renesas to create the coil and nowhere it says the value of coil inductance.
When I power up the board and spin the target board, there is no Sin or Cosine waves.
See below for board drawing and pdf schematic.

Hi Raja,
Where exactly in the ICOT tool does it show the inductance?
Also, should I populate both Cadj 1 and Cadj 2? Or only one of the capacitors needs to be populated?
Hi Armando,
You can also use single Capactior (Ctx) but to better cope with EMC we would suggest use differential capacitor Ctx1 and Ctx2 and the value should be double with respect to common mode capacitor (Ctx). For more information, please go through the application module documents:
https://www.renesas.com/us/en/document/oth/ips2200-application-module-document?r=658471
This tool is not available for publicly. When we design the customer specific coil, then our system software will calculate inductance value.
If possible, please provide the end application of your project, LTV so that we would better understand your situation and provide better support.
