Hi,
Is the 1025 able to measure petrol?
And is this sensor available to buy now? I don't see it much on your site?
Thanks
Danny
Hello Danny,
Thanks for reaching out Renesas Engineering Community.
Unfortunately this sensor is obsolete and it is not recommended to be used for new designs.
If you will check this document you will see the Last Time Buy date and that there is no other product to replace it.
https://www.renesas.com/us/en/document/eln/plc-240001-end-life-eol-process-select-part-numbers?r=1489456
Regarding using this sensor with petrol, please check this FAQ for your reference:
https://en-support.renesas.com/knowledgeBase/21145322
The specific sensor comes to you calibrated with water. If you will also check this document and see the operating principle of our flow sensors you will see that also the properties of the liquid and the thermal conductivity of the liquid play significant role to the final results.
And of course all the other factors described.
https://www.renesas.com/us/en/document/apn/factors-influencing-accuracy-thermal-flow-sensors?r=1489456
Generally we suggest to avoid using the sensors with volatile flammable liquids.
Hope it helps.
Best Regards,
IK
