Hi,
there's a web page about GR-Sakura and MP3 (http://homepage3.nifty.com/fpga/gr/), but unfortunately it's in Japanese. There are also some videos on YouTube, but no code is given. And there's also some description about RX implementing MP3. But this is not easy to use for GR-Sakura.
Has anyone done any activity so far for implementing to play MP3 on GR-Sakura? (e.g. implementing libmad?)
If someone has implemented to play WAV, this would also be cool!
Many thanks for any hint

I have seen the new Gadget Renesas web site gadget.renesas.com/.../index.html.
Very nice, well done!
It's also referring again the MP3 video. But again, there is no reference for the original code.
Has anybody made any experience with MP3 implementation and could share some code?
Ideally, we should get something like a tutorial. Might be simple to set up. But once somebody has done all that stuff already, it's easier to get some hints how to do that.
many thanks in advance
Hi, I'm sorry to reply delay and will confirm to the creator from now.
Hello Okamiya-san,
many thanks for your reply. I will wait with more patience :-)
Hello Juergen-san,
I confirmed the status of the library for MP3 to the creator Matsuura-san.
He used the open-source(GPL) library "libmad" for MP3 player. Refer to below.
www.underbit.com/.../mad
The V1.xx library for GR-SAKURA adapted closed library. So he stopped to open his library cause of GPL issue.
But now we adapt open-source library for GR-SAKURA as V2, so he is considering to open that again after confirmation of operation.
When we have a progress, I will inform you that.
Thanks.
many thanks for your reply. Seems I still need a bit more patience.
Hopefully sooner or later we can get something like a simple "cook book" how to use MP3.
This could bring Sakura even further as it opens so much more applications.
thanks for now.
I think so. I will do that.
