RX231 to AWS

Hello everyone!

I have bought a Renesas RX-231 board in order to explore the Renesas Sandbox supported by Medium One. The example the board has is very good, it works well. I would like to know if there is a firmware to connect the board to Amazon Web Services.

At the same time, I would like to connect the RX-231 to the Synergy Enterprise Cloud Toolbox Dashboard, which is quite different from the Renesas IoT Sandbox.

If there is someone who can guide me on this issue I would really appreciate it.

Hi JM,

I'm not sure if AWS supports RX231 board. What I know is it's the RX65N kit www.renesas.com/.../aws-wi-fi-cloud-connectivity-kit.html that is being powered by AWS.

Hi Jim,

RX devices are not supported on Synergy Enterprise Cloud Toolbox (SECT). SECT only supports Synergy devices. If you like to connect RX device to AWS, then RX65N kit is only choice available.

Thanks for the solution I was also wondering that there is no chance that RX231 supports AWS. However, I didn't know about RX65N either. I hope that it works well. AS, I am using the managed instance of AWS server which is powered by Cloudways. So, it might work with the conventional AWS server. But, not sure about the managed instance of AWS server.

For RX65N connectivity refer to the Renesas webpage: www.renesas.com/.../rx65n-cloud-kit.html. The page provides AWS connectivity example using Amazon FreeRTOS in a conventional way. Though there is no example available for managed instance of AWS server using Cloudways.
