We have a lot of development tutorials for the S5D9 IoT Fast Prototyping Kit that is included with the AE-CLOUD1 kit. If you already have a S5D9 IoT Fast Prototyping Kit, you can buy the WiFi module or debugger separately and connect them to your existing board. You will need the debugger to use the binary that allows the WiFi module to connect to the IoT Sandbox.  See the article Renesas AE-CLOUD1 Factory Reset article to change the binary on your S5D9 IoT Fast Prototyping Kit to the binary that shipped with the AE-CLOUD1 kit.

  • within the past two weeks I have purchased the S5D9 Iot Fast Prototyping Kit and while doing research on the net came accross the IoT Sandbox forum post offering a "50% Discount Coupons for AE-CLOUD1, WiFi Module, SEGGER Debugger, and S5D9". Since I am looking at purchasing the AE-CLOUD1 WiFi Module (I already own a SEGGER JLINK-EDU) am wondering if the offer is still available?

    yes, the offer is going on for at least several more months. I also updated the original post to indicate that people can mix and match the Renesas products in their shopping cart and have the discount apply to all products. Multiple units of the same product are also okay. The previous coupon from 2017 did not allow this flexibility. The 2018 coupon allows this.
