What is the problem?
Is E8a not recognized by the PC?
In this case probably one of the fuses F1/F2 is damaged.
Or does E8a not connect to the target hardware? In this case overvoltage in your target hardware probably damaged some of the inline resistors used to limit input current to E8a. E8a has several resistor arrays in the output circuit to the target hardware. These can easily be damaged.

The E8a is not recognized by the pc despite F1 and F2 fuses not damaged !

I'm sorry, but then I think you can throw the E8a away. It has some filters in the data lines, and then comes the H8S processor that you cannot replace.

It's seems this E8a is very fragile !
Could you please let me know which resistor arrays can be damaged ?

Is there any company who can repair this device ?

I wouldn't say it is fragile, but I agree that it requires careful handling. It does not like plug in to target with external power switched on (which should not be done anyway).
I think there are 5 resistor arrays of 4 resistors each. RA1-RA3 (22 Ohm) are inline resistors, which are most easily damaged.
There are no companies to repair E8a as each repair is more expensive than a new E8a.

Thks for your explanation, if I understand you correctly, you suggest to connect first the
E8a to the target system and only after plug in the external source
(which is mandatory to avoid any overload current in the E8a)

Is there any order process with HEW connection ?

EG: should I run HEW connection process B4 plugin external power source

The E8a User's Manual gives in chapter 3.5-3.6 some recommendation on how to connect E8a.

Here are the resuls for the 3 E8A:

The first is totally dead, no hope to make it work again

The second is working from time to time, very strange behaviour...

The third is working fine but when using 'program flash' option to connect to the target system,
the following error message is displayed after building all files:
'Flash memory writing NG.
Written data are not identical with the program data'

Surprisingly the target is system is working fine despite this error message

Hi jean-pierre Dersoir,

When did you purchased these E8a emulators? If it's not yet a year since you bought them, maybe you could contact your local distributor for repair or maybe replacement.

I am facing a new error message on the last one working fine:

Can you explain what it means as I cannot find it in the E8a user manual

And most surprising the program is working perfectly on the target system !

This is a programming error on your device.
Have you tried programming using FDT?
Please read the device memory and compare manually to your code.
