uPD720202 individual port power off

I have the need for fully powering down individual USB port(s) on the uPD720202 USB controller, running on a Linux host. The reason is a misbehaving USB device that occasionally cannot be reset properly and needs to be completely separated from USB power (plug-out/plug-in) to resume operation. In order to prevent a person from physically plugigng the device, a simple remote-controlled power-cycle would be a great alternative for that scenario.

I am looking into changing the Linux kernel module to support such functionality and I am therefore curious if the controller supports a completely power-off on the USB port, any insights would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Martin
