I am experiencing a high failure rate of p/n ICM7555CBAZ. It appears to be tied to a particular lot we received.
Do you have a decoder for the lot/date marking on the IC body? I have not found any relevant information on lot, silicon revision, or relevant PCNs on the product page.
Thanks
Hello,
We can not publiclly provide that in the open forum. So please attach a picture so that we can research this.
Please see below.
I am an apps engineer for Intersil parts. I am limited as to what I can provide on this open forum since our marking information is confidential.
The bottom line of the part marking is the "trace code" which identifies the manufacturing lot that the parts were built. Are you experiencing failures for parts with both of these trace codes or just one? If it is for just one trace code, which one is it?
The high failure rate appears to be tied to the "L145AHL" trace code.
That is what I suspected.
L145AHL is not a valid trace code in our internal semiconductor database. I also could not find any of these parts that were built with the date code of 145 for this product. Unless you can provide proof of purchase from one of our authorized distributors, I would suspect the part is counterfeit.
