I have a DEV5L1503 evaluation board which I have assembled. I can't get it to program either the evaluation board or a 5L1503 inserted into the socket. The Timing Command says device not found at any of the selected addresses. The device is OTP and does not have an I2C interface, so it's not clear what this means.
I have tried:
- Different USB ports and computers
- Checked and re-checked the orientation of the IC in the socket
- Jumper JP2 installed and removed
It's not clear to me why this isn't working. Do any of the DIP switches need to be set? The documentation only explains two of them.
All I want is to multiply a 10MHz clock to 25MHz. One of the older parts would be ideal, but unfortunately they are all discontinued.
In the connection settings of Timing Commander you could try putting in D0, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7 and let it try all addresses.
No you don't need to change any jumpers that I am aware of.
To program the otp you need to:
JP2 on MicroClock socket board provides a select function for configuration programming to either the evaluation part or blank parts insocket or on an evaluation board. To program OTP on a blank part in the socket or an evaluation board, ensure to un-plug the jumper onJP2 (default jumper sets to be plugged). See Figure 10.

Okay, the resistor did not help. But there seems to be a bigger issue.
There is no power on pin 3 of the "uCLOCK PULLOW" (sic) board. It looks to have the right resistor configuration, with R98 fitted, but it'd not being powered up. I checked during the attempt to connect to the board in case the power is gated somewhere, and with J2 in both open and closed position.
Is there a document to help with diagnosing issues? The user guides for these parts are rather sparse.
Hi,
I am going to make an internal request to the Engineering team ( TECHSUPP-7960 ) to look at this issue. Once I hear back I will let you know.
recommend the following steps for the troubleshooting of the usb development kit board:
Perform these following verifications with and without the socket board:
Here is the user guide of USB development kit board in attachment.

I am assuming that you have resolved this issue since you have not provided anymore requests.
