How to degrade FSP in e2 studio?

My E2 Studio hosted a FSP of edition 4.0, while my BSP supported up to 3.6, how to degrade the FSP in e2 studio, could I add more than one edition in e2 studio?

  • Yes you can, but I would not recommend it. 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 is no problem. Version 3.x and 4.x means a major version (SW) change. I would suggest to install both versions in different locations on your PC. Having your 4.0 project on left and a new 3.6 minimal BSP on the right screen. Double click the configuration.xml on both and open the Stacks tab. Slowly "New stack" on right till you see the same (similar) tree like your working project. e2studio will show you in red if a property value is not correct. Have anybody else a better solution?

  • I just downloaded a FSP 3.6 and installed it beside 4.0, and I can alter the FSP edition in "Board Support Package Configuration" window. Is that OK?

  • Is the compilation without errors and not more warnings than in 4.0?
Is it loadable to the board?
    Does it run like expected?
