I have noticed that if I open a completely new work space estudio remembers that a sample project has been imported earlier and denies an import in the new fresh workspace.
That is not handy for upgrades which require the latest estudio and sdk like the current upgrade.
How is that issue be best addressed, a new SDK location for each independent project ?
Thanks
Ralph
update
It seems that this issue affects all sample projects even those I have not imported before.
I will try on a virgin machine to see if I can import according to the documentation.
any update? still working on?
Hi Rales,
what is the selection when you install the e2studio? details please find here:

I don't understand your answer as I explained this before here!
At first I updated via the e-studio/eclipse 'search for updates' menu. Then I cleaned the the machine for a fresh install of e-studio as shown in the video. All same result.
Can anybody replicate this issue?
> Even when I completely uninstall estudio, delete all work spaces and reinstall estudio this problem remains> Some projects had already been imported before.Project information is generated in .metadata folder and it prevents from importing the same name of project. It's workspace issue, so no need to re-install e² studio.Create a new folder and start e² studio with the folder as new workspace.Refer to this FAQ about project import.FAQ - e² studio project import is prevented by existing projectshttps://en-support.renesas.com/knowledgeBase/20630043
Please also see this FAQ if you would like to duplicate SDK6 project.FAQ - Importing DA SDK project into e² studiohttps://en-support.renesas.com/knowledgeBase/21689493
that is exactly what you expect and DOS NOT WORK LIKE YOU EXPECT so take my problem serious and consider that I do this job longer then you are existing on this planet.
Let us know what kind of path is given as workspace. You could also try using "Existing Projects into Workspace" but uncheck "copy projects into workspace", or use "Projects from Folder or Archive".
Look, did you try to replicate the problem?
Why you don't explain and look into why with with SDK 6.0.24 e-studio 25-4 is required?
Will you answer if that is influencing the compatibility of using 6.0.22 with 25-4? seems logic
I noticed the issue by opening a new workspace to generate a new flavor od the simple_beacon I worked on. Then I notices that I get the same message for ANY sample project I even never touched before.
I assumed this before as I was using a workspace in programdata path which might create permission issues, however I am as administrator on the machine. However, I then selected a workspace in my user path here C:\Users\ralph\e2_studio\waterwatch_I . I tried various workspace names.
to make it clear:
starting e-studio
creating a NEW AND EMPTY workspace
importing >General>Dialog SDK project
selecting ANY sample project
gives this result
please read the whole threat if you feel like answering
and you should know that importing "Existing Projects into Workspace" does NOT WORK. It has a bunch of unresolved identifiers as ALREADY MENTIONED EARLIER IN THIS THREAT
May be you come up with something that helps, I need a solution to follow the recommendation to always use the latest versions. I just starting a new project, so yes it would make sense to use the latest
