I solder together PTX105 and components around to do antenna tuning, after I noticed that, I connected pins 53-56 to 3V3, but I did not connect 49 and 51 as I assume they are connected internally. PTX105 started communication over UART to NFC IOT Tuner app then.
Since reader did not or barely detect any tag, I did pay attention to matching networks. I followed your app notes available on webpage. We have faily cheap VNA, but after calibration it showed impedance of 575m + J36.3 Ohm (13.66Mhz), which seemed ok to me. I also asked my colleague from Finland, to measure that, since they are RF team (waiting for results).
I put those data to QucsStudio and it turned out, we need Cs=560pF, Cp_diff=10pF, Cp_se=330pF and Rp_se_1k1 ,to get similar results as in your app note. After rework PTX105 still does not detect any tag. Now I wonder, if matching network is completely wrong (in app note is stated Cs = 10 x Cp), or If I did something else wrong in simulation or, I think not, but something happen to IC because we did not have connected all pwr pins from beginning, and I haven't done antenna matching before I tried detecting TAG for the first time.
Maybe something interesting. NFC IoT Tuner finds PTX100x instead of PTX105x. No sure what is the reason for that, but there is PTX105R IC on board
