To whom it may concern,
I am a technician in South Korea responsible for manufacturing and developing PCB board based on RENESAS MCU. I am trying to contact you to find out the estimate cost to fix [PG-FP6 DATESHEET NO.820: FP6 FW err]. As per your user’s manual, PC was force shut down during the update, and now I am getting NO.820 error without any power. As the manual said (The firmware of the FP6 is incorrect), I think it is supposed to be a simple fix with re-upload of a PG-FP6 firmware, but the distributor where I bought the product is not sharing any information about the estimated cost to fix.
Is it possible to get an estimated cost to fix [PG-FP6 DATESHEET NO.820: FP6 FW err]?
And I'd like to know a solution.
Tool repair is handled on a regional basis. If you are located in Europe you can fill out this online form:
Otherwise you would need to contact a Renesas sales office or distributor to initiate a repair request, and/or inquire about the repair cost:
This is not a fast process, it may be a cost advantage to simply purchase a replacement, although the FP6 is one of the more expensive tools and may be worth sending in for repair.
